Santa Barbara Fish House
If you are looking for a very casual dinner with no pretense, have some fresh fish, and be as close as possible to the Ocean, this might be the place for you. Go here at around 6pm before sunset. Take a nice walk all the way to the end of the pier and make room in your belly for the yummiest steamed local crab, lobster tacos and fried calamari.

Stonehouse Restaurant at San Ysidro Ranch
It cannot get any better then this. Welcome to the Shangri-la of American restaurants where royalty meets supreme cuisine.
Perfect for a date, only if you’re really in Love! So far this is our glamping favorite of all. Our first recommendation if you’re planning a stay in Santa Barbara is to sleep at The Santa Barbara Autocamp and use the money you save to have the most delicious meals at the Ranch. Tres chic!

Lunch

– Santa Barbara Chicken Ranch
This place is a must. Think of Taco Bell when it first started and before it became that corporate chain it has become now. Authentic Mexican cuisine, owned by real Mexicans. These people have been serving the best Mesquite Bar B Q’d chicken and tri-tip for over 20 years.

Mayo’s Carniceria
Authentic tacos and carne asada ready to grill. How can you tell it’s authentic? Well, eat it first, and check who’s hanging out in there…only Mexicans.

– Adama Vegan
Yummy vegan restaurant with a great ambiance. Check out their Adama Burger and Tempeh fish sticks.

Breakfast/Brunch

– Our Daily Bread
Great bakery, delicious breakfast, coffee and mimosas!

– Tupelo Junction
This place is overrated to be honest…expect long lines on a Sunday…But why wait in line for half an hour and be a sheep when you can have have a better meal and time and be a lion?

– Jeannine’s
A family owned restaurant, this place just stands out for its interiors, high ceilings and chandeliers. Perfect for a brunch date. And on a Sunday there’s usually live jazz in the outdoor patio. What else do you want?
